Organic Garlic Extract (Allium sativum)

Garlic (Allium sativum) is one of the oldest and most widely used medicinal plants in the world, with a documented history of use spanning over 5,000 years across Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek, Roman, Chinese, and Indian herbal traditions.  It remains one of the most extensively researched medicinal plants in contemporary botanical science.

Garlic belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family alongside Onion, Leek, and Chive. Its primary bioactive compound — allicin — is formed enzymatically when raw garlic is crushed or chopped, and is responsible for Garlic’s characteristic pungent aroma and many of its traditional properties. This extract is prepared in 60% alcohol from certified organic Garlic bulb.
