Organic Amla Berry Extract (Phyllanthus emblica)
Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), also known as Indian Gooseberry or Amalaki, is one of the most revered and widely used herbs in Ayurvedic medicine, with a documented history of use spanning over 3,000 years. It is classified as a Rasayana in Ayurveda — a category of herbs used to promote longevity, vitality, and rejuvenation — and is one of the three fruits in the classic Ayurvedic formula Triphala.
Amla is one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C in the plant kingdom, with a unique advantage over synthetic Vitamin C — its naturally occurring tannins help stabilise and protect the ascorbic acid content during processing and storage. This extract is prepared in 60% alcohol from certified organic Amla fruit.
