Silymarin (Milk Thistle Blend) 300mg
Silymarin is a purified complex of four isomeric flavonolignans — silybin A, silybin B, silychristin, and silydianin — extracted from the seeds and fruit of Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum). Silybin (also known as silibinin) is the most biologically active and most extensively researched of the four, and is the primary marker of Silymarin quality and potency. Milk Thistle is one of the most well-documented hepatoprotective herbs in Western herbal medicine, with a history of traditional use spanning over 2,000 years.
Silymarin is one of the most extensively researched plant compounds in contemporary hepatology and botanical science, with a substantial body of peer-reviewed literature examining its naturally occurring flavonolignan content and its role in liver, antioxidant, and metabolic wellness. It is classified as a hepatoprotective, antioxidant, and cholagogue herb in Western herbal medicine.

- Silybin A & B (Silibinin) — the primary and most biologically active flavonolignans in Silymarin; the key marker of Silymarin quality and potency; the most extensively researched compounds in Milk Thistle
- Silychristin — a naturally occurring flavonolignan; the second most abundant compound in Silymarin
- Silydianin — a naturally occurring flavonolignan present in the Silymarin complex
- Flavonoids — including quercetin and kaempferol; contributing to Silymarin’s antioxidant profile
- Fatty acids — including linoleic acid; naturally present in Milk Thistle seed
